HONT–
TALES OF STONE AND WATER

Drink from the well
they said

particles
of healing salines
one for the eye
and one for the host

through the rocks
Inside
a collapsed volcano
they caste shadows
of golden ancestors

when you liquify
where do the bones go ?

the past is fragmented
to each
tear
a ruin of chalcopyrite

mirroring
a turmoil future
staring back at you
from the clear water of the well

rooting
below the soil
the sacred deposits
of charcoal and nacre

you become
a drop
you become a stone

if everything
evaporates
where do your bones go?
